How the money works
No service contract. You pay for hours worked.
Most providers place clients on a monthly per-seat retainer regardless of whether anything happens that month. Ipheion does not. You reach out when something is needed, the work is completed, and the invoice reflects the time it required. In a quiet month, the invoice reflects that.
Software and subscriptions — Microsoft 365, backup, endpoint security — are sourced and configured on your behalf, so procurement and setup run through one point of contact rather than several vendor portals.

Working together
Four steps, start to invoice.
Initial call
Describe the issue or the project. A short conversation is usually enough to scope it.
Assessment
On-site or remote, depending on the work. Larger projects receive an estimate before anything begins.
Execution
Work is scheduled around your business hours wherever the job allows.
Invoice
Itemized hours plus any parts or hardware. Nothing recurring unless you requested it.
Service area
The northeast quadrant, on purpose.
Staying inside a tight radius is what makes same-day on-site visits realistic. Fishers and Carmel to the north, Greenfield to the east, and everything between.

Homes & home offices
Not every client is a company.
A router in the wrong corner of the house. A computer that has slowed to a crawl. A new laptop that needs everything moved off the old one. That work built the Nextdoor reputation, and it is still very much on offer.
Home offices and one-person businesses are an especially good fit — residential equipment, commercial stakes. Same terms either way: hourly, no contract, at the kitchen table if that is where the computer lives.
- Whole-house Wi-Fi coverage
- New computer setup
- Data transfer from an old machine
- SSD upgrades for a slow computer
- Email setup and migration
- Printers, scanners and projectors
- Internet service review
- Password managers for families
- Home office and remote work setup
- Home camera systems
- Backup for photos and documents
- Help when something just stopped working
Recent work
What the jobs actually look like.
Three examples, one business and two from homes, in Dominik's own words from the Ipheion activity log.
Locking down accounts
A client needed user accounts and privileges sorted out across the company's PCs to improve overall security. With more business software delivered as a service and reached through a browser, password management becomes the real problem — so the answer was 1Password rolled out company-wide, issuing each employee their own ID and a complex password, managed centrally and working across the mix of computers, phones and tablets in the office.
A slow PC and an overdue bill
Years of Windows updates had left a client's computer crawling; Windows 10 increasingly assumes the speed of a solid state drive. Replacing the mechanical hard drive with an SSD and copying everything across restored it. While on site, a look at the internet bill showed the client was still paying for AT&T DSL — moving to Xfinity was both faster and cheaper.
Coverage through the whole house
A homeowner had dead spots around the house. Moving the router and access point to a better position and rerunning the wiring to reach it gave proper coverage everywhere — enough that she can take video calls with her children and grandchildren from any room instead of standing in the one corner that used to work.

Common questions
Straight answers.
Do you require a service contract?
No. Ipheion does not use service contracts, retainers, or per-seat monthly fees. You are billed for the hours spent on your tasks and projects, plus any hardware or subscriptions purchased on your behalf. There is no minimum term and nothing to cancel.
How do you charge for work?
Hourly, for time actually spent on your tasks and projects. Larger projects receive an estimate before work begins. Invoices itemize what was worked on and how long it took.
What size businesses do you support?
Small businesses — companies that need genuine IT work done but cannot keep a full-time employee busy. If your equipment, users and security have reached the point of needing consistent attention, Ipheion is built for that gap.
Do you work with homeowners, or only businesses?
Both. Ipheion has been a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite three years running, largely on residential work — home Wi-Fi coverage, new computer setup, transferring data off an old machine, and speeding up computers that have slowed down. Homes are billed exactly like businesses: hourly, no contract.
Do you support home offices and one-person businesses?
Yes, and they are a particularly good fit. A home office runs on residential equipment but carries commercial consequences when it fails — which is where most consumer tech support stops being useful and an IT background starts to matter.
What areas do you serve?
The northeastern quadrant of the Indianapolis metro: Fishers, Carmel, Geist, McCordsville, Fortville, Noblesville, Lawrence, Castleton, Pendleton, New Palestine and Greenfield. Staying within that radius keeps on-site response times short.
Can you set us up with endpoint security?
Yes. Ipheion arranges CrowdStrike endpoint protection subscriptions and handles deployment across your workstations and servers — enterprise-grade tooling normally sold to much larger organizations. The subscription itself is held directly with the vendor.
Do you handle backups?
Yes — both on-premise and cloud. A working backup is one that has been restored from, so restores are tested rather than assumed. Retention is set according to how much history your business actually needs.
Can you install and service security cameras?
Yes. Camera selection, placement, NVR configuration, remote viewing and storage retention are all in scope. Existing systems can be taken over and brought back into working order.
We already have an IT provider. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Ipheion is regularly brought in for discrete projects, a second opinion, or overflow work — a Wi-Fi redesign, a backup rebuild, a camera installation — without disturbing an existing relationship.
How quickly can you respond?
Response depends on current workload, but the tight service radius keeps on-site visits close at hand. Many issues are resolved remotely without a visit at all.
